Programs

Our worship service begins at 11:00 a.m. on Sundays (September through May) in our sanctuary. There is a segment of our worship service designed especially for children early in the service. Following the children's moment, children may go to our nursery or remain in worship with their parents. Worship service during the summer months begins at 9:30 a.m.

Sunday School meets at 9:45 on Sunday mornings September through May. We are experimenting with a unique approach to youth Sunday School that includes all ages from toddler to high school in learning stations. Each week presents a different station in which the Bible story for that week is brought to life through various creative activities. Drama, music, arts, and computers are all used in this new adventure in Christian education.

Bible Study meets on Tuesdays at noon in Rev. Miller's office. This is more of a discussion group than a class. We read the story several verses at a time, then discuss it so that we understand it and see how it might apply to our own lives.

Youth Group meets every other Tuesday morning at 7:00 a.m. before school. The group is open to high school and college age young people. They are involved in many projects for the church and community. Our youth group participates in larger youth events at the Conference, regional, and national level.

Vacation Bible School is held each summer in June. First Congregational Church cooperates with six other local churches to provide a week-long Christian experience for youngsters up to fifth grade. Older youth are encouraged to help with leadership at Vacation Bible School.

Camp Mimanagish is our summer camping program for children and adults. Located 40 miles into the mountains above Big Timber, Montana deep in the forest along the Bolder River. Our camp is a ministry of the Montana-Northern Wyoming Conference of the United Church of Christ.

Mayflower Circle is a woman's fellowship that meets for lunch every other month. They support the church through service projects.

Plymouth Circle is a woman's fellowship that meets just three times a year for fellowship and study. They occasionally sponsor special church events.

Lunch Together is an inter-denominational community soup kitchen that is located in the lower level of our church building.
